                                                              Here’s What’s New

As we move into fall we start to see the last big round of album releases before the holiday music glut begins with more versions of songs we already have on multiple other albums. C’mon y’all, just keepin’ it real. But there are lots of treats in store to keep you entertained through the next few months.
We have to start with the anticipated new one from Spyro Gyra celebrating their 50th anniversary – and still growing and going strong. Jubilee is a career spanning compliation of their greatest hits and includes their new single “50/50“.
Dave Koz has dropped an energized collaboration with Adam Hawley called “Automatic” and Richard Elliot just released the excellent Straight Up Down. You can hear the first single, “Very Delicious”, as well as several other tracks on The Stream. Jeff Ryan’s highly anticipated third album Into Focus is out now with several recent singles and the Tower of Power tribute “Girls From The Bay” next in line for airplay and streaming action. Marion Meadows has an album on the way and the first track “AI Moonrise” finds the tech savvy musical and visual artist exploring some new territory with an afrobeat vibe, a little lo-fi flavor and a solid melody.
New singles to listen for include Rick Habana’s “Via Blanca” featuring Ken Navarro, Navarro’s “Heaven Sent” with it’s melodic references to Donald Fagen’s iconic “I.G.Y”,
Violinist Damien Escobar is one of the most dynamic live performers out there and his albums have usually leaned toward the quiet storm side but this new one, Gemini, amps it up a bit. “Symphony of Romance” and the title track show his uptempo groove and overall this is one of his best albums, especially if you’re new to his recorded work.
Let’s not forget Cindy Bradley, our animal loving trumpet star who recently became a licensed Vet Tech and opens her album with a tribute to her tour buddy (road manager? Equipment tech? ), Moxie the chihuahua “A Little Moxie”
